About Eddington— Bucks County, PA

Formerly known as Cornwells Heights-Eddington, the town of Eddington was separated into its own census-designated place in southern Bucks County. The new CDP is bordered by Interstate 95, the east side of Street Road, the north side of Hulmeville Road, and the west side of Woodhaven Road. The Delaware River is located just a few miles to the south of town; this proximity to the river has allowed the area to prosper over the years. Today, the area is comprised of middle-class single-family homes throughout a series of grid-style streets. Many of the homes were built between the 1920s and the 1980s. The town draws its name from Richard Gibbs' estate of the same name, though it has gone by a number of other names throughout the decades, including "Jugtown" and "Oakgrove". As of the 2010 census, the population of Eddington was 1,906.
